Water.
God made the water of the Red Sea stand up like a wall so that the nation of Israel could walk through on dry ground. What an amazing miracle the Exodus was. God was saving his people and bringing them out of slavery and into the promised land. God did it. It was a blessing.
But the very thing that was a blessing in one season turned into the source of their complaining in the next.
22 Then Moses led the people of Israel away from the Red Sea, and they moved out into the desert of Shur. They traveled in this desert for three days without finding any water. 23 When they came to the oasis of Marah, the water was too bitter to drink. So they called the place Marah (which means “bitter”). 24 Then the people complained and turned against Moses. “What are we going to drink?” they demanded.
Exodus 15:22-24 NLT
Have you ever prayed for something only for God to give it to you and then it turns into the source of your complaints? You really wanted that car. Remember, that car. The one you just spent $100 again fixing it for the 27th time. You really wanted that job. Then five years, or five minutes later you can't stand the people you work with. Maybe God has blessed you with an amazing opportunity. But with the amazing opportunity comes great responsibility.
What was a blessing in one season quickly turns into the source of complaining in the next.
That is why it is always the right time to worship.
Press play on your praise.
Don’t wait for the blessing to worship the Lord. Worship is a daily decision that should happen every day through everything. If you wait to worship you will have already received the miracle and you won’t even see it… you’ll be too busy complaining to worship.
